Getting Started
Welcome to CRM Baby! The all-in-one sales tool for service people. This guide will help you to get setup with your new CRM and make the most of all the features.
What is CRM Baby?
CRM Baby is designed to help you manage your sales and workflows from the moment first contact is made with a new client, through to invoicing and upselling.
The software has been designed to be as simple and intuitive as possible without the bloat and complexity common in other CRMs.
Initial Setup

Follow these steps to get started:
- 1. Explore your CRM Baby workspace
- 2. Configure your organization details
- 3. Add your company contacts and leads
- 4. Add your first product
- 5. Add your first proposal
1 Explore your CRM Baby workspace
When you first log in to CRM Baby you will see a few example companies, products and proposals at different stages of the sales pipeline.
- Navigate to Sales page and see the pending proposals and closed deals. Try changing the status of a proposal and see how it updates your sales figures
- View the Companies page and click one to see the company details and record an action such as a task, email, call or meeting
- Visit the Today page and see how the sales pipelines creates workflow actions to follow up leads and chase invoices
- Once you're familiar with the CRM Baby workspace you can delete these sample companies and start adding your own.
2 Configure Organization Details
Your organization settings are used to personalize CRM Baby templates such as adding your business details to invoices. To set these details:
- Click the profile icon in the top right hand corner
- Select My Organization
- Add your company logo, contact details and business address
- Click "Save" to update your organization details
3 Add Company Contacts and Leads
Before you can create proposals you need to add your company contacts and leads to assign them to. It's easy to add a company, simply:
- Click the profile icon in the top right hand corner
- Click Add New Company
- Fill in your client's company details
- The form captures only basic and essential company data and you can add more later in the Companies page
- Click "Save" to add your company
Pro Tip: Download the company CSV template on the Companies page and use that to easily import your existing company contacts in bulk.
4 Create Your First Product
For every service you offer you need to create a product and set a price. These products will be used across CRM baby to help you manage workflows, automate invoicing and build sales reports. To create a product simply:
- Navigate to the Products page
- Select + New Product
- Set your product name, description and price
- If you need to change the currency symbol and currency defaults for your account you can do that by clicking the profile icon in the top right hand corner and then Admin Settings
- Click "Save" to add your product
5 Create Your First Proposal
Now that you have companies and products setup you can start adding proposals and building your sales pipeline.
- Click the profile icon in the top right hand corner
- Select Add New Proposal
- Add the proposal date
- Set the related product
- Set the related company
- Add the owner of the proposal (the person responsible for closing the lead)
- Click "Save" to add the proposal
- Now you can navigate to the Sales page and see the new proposal which will be initially marked as "pending". You can also update and change the proposal details, price and owner anytime
Pro Tip: Download the proposal CSV template on the Sales page and use that to easily import your existing sales data in bulk.
